Carolyn's mission is to help people reclaim calmness and remove barriers to accessing their heart, their truth and their life’s purpose. When your body is calm and relaxed, you heal on all levels, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
She offers a variety of options for people to create their own calming tools. Her teachings have derived from her meditation practice, holistic education and experience, intuitive skills, and extensive research in to various wellness practices.
Carolyn wants everyone to find their way back to their own calming centre; a place of peace, balance and purpose. This is challenging during transition when we are more vulnerable and Carolyn is here to help.
One of the most vulnerable times in a person's life is postpartum, the time right when you bring a new infant in to your life. Carolyn is excited to now offer her service as a Postpartum Doula, bringing nurturing and support.
Meditating since 2004, Carolyn found relief from her life struggles with anxiety, insomnia and depression through daily meditation and surrender into calmness. She has been practicing Reiki since 2005 and as a Reiki Master since 2007. Meditation and Reiki opened up Carolyn’s world to holistic wellness of the mind, body and soul. She has since been devoted to her purpose of becoming a Calmness Coach, learning and creating a variety of tools and techniques to help others find inner peace and purpose.
Meditation and Reiki both calm both the mind and the body allowing for individual healing, prevention and growth.
The meditation coaching by Carolyn is unique in that you learn a variety of meditation practices, not just one, helping you find the one that best fits. The Childbirth Meditation & Visualization coaching shares techniques with pregnant women to help calm themselves during childbirth. This allows for their bodies and minds to relax and work efficiently resulting in a more beautiful experience with less pain and more surrender.
One area that Carolyn is passionate about is helping people remove barriers and negative habits (such as self-sabotage, fear, depression, anger, resentment) that are in the way of doing what they want to do, feeling how they want to feel and living how they want to live. Realizing and remembering why we are here and what’s stopping us from obtaining our truest wishes is the key to inner peace.

Favourite Place for Reflection:
An amazing cliff in Lighthouse Park, West Vancouver, overlooking the start of the Howe Sound, has always brought me comfort since I was a young girl hiking with my family. I get strong inspirations to run through the park and sit at this sacred place. Many deep breathes in that spot have helped me release and reflect on changes and challenges in my life.
Where is the place that brings you peace and reflection? (hint: nature really helps)
Right now it's Orange Spice tea. I have a whole cupboard FULL of tea and other hot drink mixes (for my Vatta-self) so it changes weekly. I LOVE TEA! It tastes especially good in some antique tea cups I bought at a flea market.
Favourite Role Model:
My sister - she and I are often role models for each other, encouraging our passions and inspirations. Erin was my first reiki teacher and motivator for alternative wellness learning. I am indebted to her.
